Amanda Baramki grew up in rural Virginia as one of two Arab families in her home town. As if prejudice wasn't enough to overcome, Amanda confronted her own mortality during childhood, with epilepsy, hypothyroidism, and she even lost part of her ring finger. She took it as an omen to never get married. Continuing her injury streak, last year she was hit by a car while riding her bike, resulting in hip surgery. "I'm too young to have hip surgery, that's for grandmothers!" she thought. As a NYC based comedian, she's been featured on AXS TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live,” "Laughs TV" on FOX, The Women In Comedy Festival, & The NY Arab- American Comedy Festival. She writes for the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre Maude team "Nipsey," and contributes to Someecards and her jokes have been declared Time Out NY's "Joke of the Week" and the NY Post's "Best Jests."
