Maunda (Muh-OON-Duh) started acting in elementary school, joined her high school’s award winning Drama Club, and received a Theater scholarship from the University of Oklahoma. After graduation she was recruited to join the oldest Black Theater in Cleveland in the leading role, Rapunzel, which took a lot of hair extensions, since she usually rocks an Afro. Afterwards, she toured the US in a Comedy Gospel musical performing with several Gospel Greats, including Marvin Sapp. Those connections brought her to LA where Producer Rushion McDonald (Think Like a Man) commented on Maunda's quick wit and advised her to add "Comedienne" to her list of talents. Since then, Maunda has been seen in commercials, television and multiple Indie films (two she wrote/produced). Maunda is the 2013 Ventura Comedy Festival Winner, a California’s Funniest Female Finalist, and received comedic praise from Kim Coles (Living Single), Chris Spencer (Husbands of Hollywood) and Leslie Jones (SNL).
Maunda's TV Show, Ghost in the Hood, airs January 5th, 2017!
